The need for exercise





I like exercising. I just love it! After a period of not doing it almost entirely (damn you exams!) I went the other day to the gym for a full body workout and it felt absolutley amazing.

It relaxes me completly. I just go into a mind zone where it’s like nothing else matters. I like the pump that weight training is giving me, blood rushing trough your veins. I think there is something primal about this, hard coded in our genes. The modernized society took out exercising from our lifestyles almost completely, and it not only shows in our stress levels but on our waistlines as well. This is really sad because we are designed as mobile creatures, we are designed to run, lift heavy stuff.

I’m not just talking about going to the gym, any sort of movement is good as long as it get’s your blood running a little faster. The benefits of being lean, having a metabolically active body, can’t be empahsized enough.
